About Us
A little more about “The X”…
Writing and performing my original music and playing covers with The Biggs in the late 1980s proved to be an incredible experience for me. The Post Dispatch article and photo spread were rewarding but did not generate the excitement for me when playing to a crowd ready to party and dance. After some impromptu marketing surveys while playing with a blues and groove group a few years ago, folks told me they wanted their favorite party music delivered by multiple vocalists with a strong rhythm section and full horn section. With that information, I elected to start from scratch again. Thus, The X. Great things can happen when you surround yourself with good musicians. The St. Louis music scene could not ask for a better mix of people and talent.
 The X will deliver a show tailored to your event. Attire, set length, and special requests are incorporated to make sure your event is the success that you envision. Prices include:
· A music program planning meeting with Roger Morse, Band Manager.
· Event emcee duties.
· Email and phone contact with Jon and Roger.
· 2 custom song requests (6 week notice needed).
The X offers a variety of packages to meet your needs. A jazz trio or solo piano for cocktail and dinner music, and dance band sizes from 7 to 12 members. To provide music quality and variety, the band will always feature 3 vocalists, 2 females and 1 male.
